The customer asked for that specific products serial, such as a firearm or laptop. Not whichever one the warehouse picks first.
In standard Odoo the salesperson cannot make that choice on the quote. Reservation happens later, FIFO unless you changed the strategy. By then the quote has already gone out.
This add-on puts the choice on the sale order line. Only lots that are actually reservable show up. When the delivery is created, the native reservation engine is told to take those lots first.
It does not delete the move lines after confirm and write them again. Partial deliveries, backorders, unreserve and traceability stay as Odoo already does them.
